There were many stories of mothers throughout the Bible:

Jocebed, Mother of Moses

Mary, Mother of Jesus

The best of motherhood is exemplified in these three women.

There were many other mothers in the Bible, only four were listed in the lineage of Jesus (Matthew, Chapter 1):

Tamar, the mother of Perez - son of Judah, whom Judah called more righteous than himself
Rahab, the mother of Boaz - son of Salman, who earned great praise for her faith
Ruth, the mother of Obed - the son of Boaz, who was faithful to God and turned away from her own people

And

Bathsheba, the mother of Solomon - son of David, who provides a picture of God’s mercy to those who love Him
